Dispatch Information and Procedure

The Local 501 Dispatch team is available 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. every business day to receive inquiries from union members, registrants and would-be registrants seeking job opportunities in the operating engineer trade.

If you would like to register for a job search with Local 501, please fill out the information sheet. You can download and print the form here. Once you have filled it out and scanned it to a pdf file, you can upload it, as well as your updated resume (one document at a time) using the document submission tool below; or email it, along with your updated resume to dispatch@local501.org.

You can also complete the information sheet online by clicking the link here. You will be required to upload a resume before completion.

Resumes for active registrants will be sent out to open Employer positions upon request. Employer(s) will contact registrants directly for employment interview(s). Effective July 1, 2018 the cost for registering and remaining on Dispatch is $20.25 per month. After uploading your information sheet and resume, wait 72 hours then,  contact the Dispatch or Dues Department at 213-385-1561 x 100 or 129 to pay the registrant fees.

Once employment is offered, it is the responsibility of the registrant to contact the Dispatch team to be removed from the Dispatch Resume Distribution List.

It is your responsibility to  contact the Dispatch team once every 4 months (or 120 days) to inquire about job leads and/or update your search status.
